Putnam County Inmate Visitation Rules
All visitors to the Putnam County Jail must put bags, purses, phones, cameras, and electronics in lobby lockers, then pass through a metal detector. Everyone is subject to search. Visitors over 18 must show valid state-issued photo ID. It is preferred that all visitors for one inmate enter the visitation room at the same time.
Two children under 18 who are the inmate's dependents can visit with the two adult visitors. No one under 18 may visit unless listed on the Visitor Request form and accompanied by an adult on the form. Visitors can be turned away for disruptive conduct, security threats, improper dress, suspected intoxication, lack of proper ID, refusal to submit to search, court-ordered no-contact orders, or at the corrections officer's discretion.
